Anna relaxing by the step this morning.
On the swings later in the morning.
In the living room of this lovely cottage.
Down by the lakeside.
We spent the afternoon today at Peurunka spa which is situated about 20 minutes away to the north of our cottage. It's a spa hotel/holiday village but the reason we visited was because I saw it advertised in the brochure I have at home for the area, and it has a large pool complex that both Sandy and Olivia wanted to visit while we are here. It also has the longest water slide in Scandinavia, so that it itself was a good reason to visit. When we got there, we found an endless amount of swimming pools, jacuzzis and saunas to enjoy, as well as the 130m long slide, which I have to admit, was pretty good fun!

In the morning we had been into Jyväskylä itself to do some shopping and to get our bearings. We plan to visit again tomorrow in the morning, as there is a large pedestrian precinct that we'd like to look around.

The weather today has probably been poorer than in Scotland for the first time, as it only got as high as 19C in the morning, before raining for much of the afternoon. It seems from the news that it has been much cooler and wetter than normal here too in June and July- no doubt the jet-stream is having an effect here too. As a result, this is the first day we haven't jumped in the lake, but as the forecast is better for tomorrow, I hope normal service will be resumed!
